He has been a competitive junior golfer, amateur and playing professional before he turned to teaching, developing and growing the game of golf.

Awarded as the "Top Golf Professional" at the INDIA GOLF AWARDS 2017 and Featured by FORBES Magazine as “TOP TEACHER” and considered as India’s foremost golf educator.

 

Romit started and popularised India's 1st Ever Junior Training Program (JTP) at the Delhi Golf Club in 1999 and ran it till 2010 when he joined as the program director of the DDA Junior Coaching & development program at THE QUTAB GOLF CLUB,New Delhi. 

 

He conducts numerous teaching programs for Indian & Multinational Corporate houses, National Golf bodies and speciality golf clinics nationally and internationally.

Many of his students have gone on to win nationally and internationally in various amateur and professional golf Tour events.

 

As a Coach:

Student profile consist of the leading players of the country in the professional, amateur, junior and ladies ranks.

He is the sole Indian teaching professional to have produced students of the calibre to have gone on to win multiple NATIONAL JUNIOR  and NATIONAL AMATEUR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP titles besides multiple  International Championship and a WORLD TEEN & EUROPEAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.

 

He is and has been coach to leading professionals on the ASIAN TOUR and INDIA PROFESSIONAL TOUR like:
